Friday Favorites: Fall Style

Is it fall yet?! I am so ready for cooler weather and being able to wear jeans without loosing half my body weight in sweat! (Lovely visual, right?) You Arizona girls feel me!  I've been pinning (living vicariously) some fall transition outfits so for Friday Favorites, I thought I'd share a few! I'm just so excited for long sleeves and layer and being able to use the other half of my closet again...

"Everyday" Shelf Decor

If you saw my post about cleaning with kids in the home, you may have noticed my giant new shelf. I'm in love and obviously change it for every holiday, but I thought I'd share a few pictures of what it's decorated as "non-holiday".  Am I the only one who changes the "regular" after every holiday too? I just can't help it, I love decorating and re-decorating!
Also remember this blanket from the outdoor party?
It's my version of Tell Love Chocolate's Tassel Blanket! I could not get it out of my head when I saw it, so I obviously needed my own! I'm obsessed with it's hot pink goodness.

Felt Ball & Buffalo-Check Pillow

Now that HelloMaypole shared the idea on her instagram I think it's safe to share a few more pictures here!  I was super excited to get chosen to come up with an idea for the Super Hero color way because we practically live, eat & breathe super heroes in this house. (with a side of legos) Using some off-white fabric, I hand painted a messy buffalo check pattern onto the fabric before attaching the felt balls.

Here's a little photo tutorial on how I attached them using baker's twine. Without making a knot, pull the twine outside the pillow and through the ball, then back down in the ball and through the pillow again. Pull, knot & cut. Ta-da!
And guess what's on the other side?!  Obviously I had to, with it being the super hero felt balls!

Easy Fringe Crowns

I'm not gonna lie...after making these my son (dressed as Captain America) and I wore these the rest of the day.  They're so fun, I couldn't help it. But these will make little girls feel special too! I found my fringe garland from Petite Party Studio.  I know I talk about that store a crazy amount but their storefront is local for me and I'm obsessed! The floral wire sticks & tape are just from Hobby Lobby or Michaels.  I used hot glue for instant hold on the crown.

Summer Forever Party Details

Remember that outdoor party I shared a few weeks ago? I had to share some more gorgeous pictures and a few details about the decorations for it.  All photography was done by Trisha from Trisha Shelley Photography who kindly hopped in last minute to capture all the goodness!
Our table was an awesome table my brother made out of pallets & I've used it for my Captain America party as well.  I draped a piece of buffalo check fabric in the center.  The back was lined with a garland of air-filled water balloons and two kraft paper banners that read "summer forever".
For the floats, I had vanilla ice cream pre-scooped into adorable bottles from Petite Party Studio.  I scooped ice cream with a cookie dough scoop onto a cookie tray, let it freeze and then spooned them into the bottles. Tie a straw and spoon with bakers twine and it's a mess free float station!
Everyone loved mixing their own popcorn mixes and enjoying them on blankets on the grass.  The only thing that could've made it more perfect was enjoying an outdoor movie!
The glass containers for mixings are from Hobby Lobby and the little treat containers for favors were also from Petite Party Studio.
