Fiesta Cake Topper

Start with a small wood board (I got mine from Michaels that came in a multi-pack). I free-handed a chevron pattern with light pink, orange, red, yellow, green and blue. Once dry, take a sharpie to trace your words then using bottle glue, follow the sharpie & then dump on glitter. Let dry completely before attaching skewers with hot glue.  The proceed to have an awesome fiesta for Cinco de Mayo!

            

Faux Chalk Paint

Today I'm showing you a way to create a "chalk paint" effect when you don't have any but want a similar finish, using supplies you have on-hand.

Supplies: 

Glass containter of your choice

Martha Stewart multi-surface paint

Decoupage finish in MATTE

Start by painting your glass with 2 coats of color & finish with 2 coats of matte finish. (Let dry in between coats!)  Then to add to your chalk effect, gently sand a few areas with sand paper.

Happy Easter

Happy, Happy Easter my friends!  I hope you all have a lovely day and celebration & for those of you who do not celebrate- I hope you have a relaxing weekend! 

I want to take advantage of this platform I have and share 2 videos with you- both beautifully illustrate the Savior's crucifixion and resurrection.   I am so grateful and indebted to Jesus Christ and his ultimate sacrifice for me.  When I think about his suffering and agony and all that He endured, how can I not strive everyday to be more like Him- the most perfect example to us? The weather here in Arizona has been kind of bi-polar and has gone from cold to burning hot to mild to perfect weather to cold and windy. But when it's nice- I am all about opening to windows and spending lots of time out side before it becomes the temperature of the sun!  So get some fun colors on those nails!

Carrot Patch Cupcakes

These cupcakes are as easy as ONE, TWO, THREE!....FOUR.

Start with a think layer of frosting, roll sides in chocolate jimmies, swirl some edible grass on & then pop on a cute chocolate carrot! See, easy & they look so adorable grouped together!
