Get Your To-Do List Done Faster!

I'm not gonna lie...I am the least car-savvy car owner you may ever know. Filling up my gas tank is about as far as it goes. I did learn how to change a tire for the first time a few months ago! And when it's time to get the oil changed (thank you dashboard light), I'm not the one to do it. Taking a 3 year old to wait while they change my oil? It's like an unnecessary night mare! Getting your oil changed and doing  my grocery shopping at the same time? May be too good to be true, right?!

The Auto Center at Walmart offers just that!  I went in, gave my info and then we talked oil. Well....more like he talked, I listened.  We decided that my car (a Honda Pilot) is a High Mileage Vehicle , especially when we take it on so many trips. The Penzoil High Mileage motor oil helps to reduce leaks and oil consumption in worn or higher mileage engines. It's a motor oil that is specifically designed for new or late model vehicles with over 75,000 miles, to help keep the engines running clean and going strong for a long time.  Perfect fit for the family car that's well loved and well used.

So after choosing the right Penzoil (yes, there's more than one type), I walked right into Walmart to do my shopping for the week! I was knocking out 2 birds with one stone without even trying!
And when your car is all done, they call your name through the store's speakers..so you're not wandering around aimlessly hoping it's done. I'm telling you, this Walmart Auto Center is making me feel like a car genius! (But really, I better leave that to the awesome workers there.)
So the next time you need an oil change, check 2 things off your list at once & #DropShopAndOil with Walmart & Penzoil!
And bonus! Here's a giveaway for 3 lucky winners will each win a trip to one of theRichard Petty Driving Experiences (each trip valued at $1,100).  That means they get to climb into a NASCAR car for an adrenaline-pumping experience that simulates real NASCAR driving! Holy amazing!

Gold Dipped Wood Garland

Ready for an easy and gorgeous garland? Hop on board with the tree slice trend. (Is that what's it's called? Either way, we both know it's all the rage.) Gather your supplies (I found my wood slices from Michaels), and tape off half of each with painter's tape & spray 2 coats of gold spray paint.

Remove tape after completely dried and using a hot glue gun, attach to twine. For extra flair bonus points, throw in some gold washi tape in between the slices and cut banner style. Hang and enjoy!

SNICKERS GameDay Treat Recipe

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #BigGameTreats #CollectiveBias

With the playoffs finished, the big game is fast approaching. I was raised on football and always love watching it no matter who's playing in the big game, but I'm an even bigger fan of the delicious snacks and treats that come along with it! Today I'm sharing a fun, easy and festive recipe perfect for you to whip up for your friends or family while you watch!

I went to Walmart to grab the few items I needed for this delicious treat and few more snacks to have on hand, like Skittles® and Starburst®!

Ingredients: 1 bag of fun size SNICKERS® (6-9 unwrapped & diced)
1 box of instant cheesecake mix
mini graham cracker crusts

Dice SNICKERS & prepare cheesecake according to instructions on package. (Mine just needed some milk added into it.)

Stir in SNICKERS and mix well.

Fill crusts and let sit in fridge until solid.

To add some extra football flair, use chocolate syrup and pipe lines to mimic a football.

Enjoy that delicious SNICKERS cheesecake!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Am I the only who felt like December was super busy and FLEW by?! I always get so sad putting Christmas decorations away...I felt like I had just put them up! But it was a good kind of busy, fun, full of family and activities and memory making and Christams-y things.

We spent our Christmas in San Diego and it had been a few years since I was there ON Christmas, and it was even more magical being there for Christmas with a child. We spent Christmas Eve morning riding bikes right by the ocean and spending every minute with family, extended family and more family. I absolutely loved it.

New Years Eve I got to go to the Fiesta Bowl & watch one of my 2 college teams (U of A) play....and lose. Fun Fact: The only other time I went to the Fiesta Bowl was years ago to watch my OTHER (and #1) college team play- Notre Dame...who also lost. And so 2014 went and 2015 kind of passed by, literally, we were watching a movie and I looked at my phone about 4 minutes after the fact. Happy New Year!!

My "Secret Weapon" for Holiday Cleaning

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.#CleanForTheHolidays #CollectiveBias
So now that it's "officially" Christmas-time (now that it's December), let's talk cleaning. I feel like the 2 biggest cleaning times of the year are spring time & the holidays when friends and family are always stopping by.  And really- we're stressed enough about all the other holiday things why add to the stress of cleaning our homes?! I love trying new cleaning products and was so excited to swing by Walmart and grab the new O-Cedar Pro Mist for cleaning my floor.
All of our downstairs is tiled, and while I love it with a toddler, sometimes getting it all clean and keeping it clean gets hard.  I was currently using a different brand of wet mop and was pretty satisfied with it.

But what I loved about the O-Cedar Pro Mist before even using it was that the micro-fiber cleaning pads were washable & therefore re-usable (saving money) and you can use your own cleaning products (also saving money). And seriously guys, those 2 things make all the difference for me.

So I used it, and I love it.  The pad cleans better than my last mop and it is so simple and easy to use!  I love being able to pull it out right before guests come over, fill up the container, spray the cleaning solution straight from the mop and clean my floor start to finish in about 10 minutes with hardly any effort.

This is definitely my new favorite cleaning "weapon" this holiday season because it is so easy & simple & money-saving!  And really, those 3 things are like hitting the jackpot around the holidays.
