Craft FAIL Book Giveaway

Today I am so excited to share a book that every crafter or hope-to-be crafter can relate to. Craft FAIL by Heather Mann is a hilariously fun book packed full of pictures featuring others failed attempts to re-create their own Pinterest-worthy creations.  Not everything I craft turns out perfectly and I get some sort of joy out of seeing other's failed crafts as well!
Heather Mann is the amazing woman behind Dollar Store Crafts blog where you can find tons of amazing and fun ideas.

I've loved flipping through this laughing, feeling bad for and empathizing with other failed craft attempts in so many areas from home decor fails, fashion fails, holiday fails, food fails, and kid crafting fails.

The best part is I have 2 copies of this fun book and one of them could be yours!  Just enter below by following Tied Ribbon on facebook and/or following on Twitter. The giveaway ends in one week. Good Luck and may all your crafting adventures be successes!

Fanta Orange Creamsicle Punch

I was compensated for this post from Fanta/Dasani through #CollectiveBias. All idea, photos and opinions are 100% my own.

Today I'm sharing a fun and easy recipe for Spooky Orange Creamsicle Punch using Fanta Orange. Swing by your local Wal-Mart to grab all these ingredients (& even a fun new drink dispenser) to make this delicious drink for your next Halloween Bash! I also grabbed some Dasani water for those who are dairy & soda-free! Adding fun straws makes it more fun anyway.

Also, there will be an in-store demo at select Walmart locations October 24-26th featuring Fanta, as well as Wheat Thins and Halloween Oreos for you to see even more fun festive ideas!

 Ingredients:
-2 2-liter bottle of Orange Fanta Soda
-Vanilla Ice Cream
-Whipped Cream

Start by adding your first liter of Fanta into your bowl or drink dispenser.

Add in 3-5 large scoops of ice cream according to how cream-sicly you want it! Give it a quick stir.

Then add in the 2nd bottle of Fanta.

To finish it off, add a few scoops of whipped cream to the top.
(Use a cookie dough scoop for easy serving!)

Yum! A delicious and festive drink that children and adults will all enjoy!

Happenings Lately

Still trying to convince myself it's fall despite the weather here in wonderful Arizona. I realized last week that I haven't slept in my bed for more than 4 days straight in the last month. It's been a busy, crazy, exciting and full last month. I'm so excited for fall, pumpkin carving, Halloween festivities and being able to drink hot chocolate without feeling like a weirdo! haha I leave you with this song by my favorite new artist Meghan Trainor. If you didn't know she's the one who sings "All About That Bass" that gets stuck in your head and that some have criticized for it's message. I love it more that you even understand (I've referred to it as my theme song), but this song will get in your head and also has a great message. So happy Friday!

Halloween Home Decor//Last Year

Last year I shared part of my Halloween decor on my entryway table but never got around to sharing the rest. So with October officially here, I thought I'd go ahead and post some pictures from one whole year ago! I've been pinning lots of fun ideas on Pinterest and can't wait to get decorating and crafting this season!

Quote Pillow

Almost an eternity ago I shared this pillow on instagram, but I had actually taken a few pictures for a little tutorial to share! It's amazingly simple and I love the outcome.

Start by sizing your freezer paper to the size of a computer sheet and print your quote in block letters directly onto the freezer paper. (Make sure the the shiny side is up so it prints on the paper side.)
The rough cut them out and iron them into your felt. You can do it randomly or plan so the colors are spread out.

Now the most tedious part, cutting out all the letters!

Once you're finished pull off the freezer paper to reveal those gorgeous perfect letters!

Lay out your letters to get the spacing and color juuuust right. Then I simply used fabric glue to attach the letters to the pillows rather than trying to sew each little letter.

Ta-da! For those wondering, this quote has been one of my favorites for a long time and was even my senior quote in my high school yearbook! It's from Abraham Lincoln.
This pillow goes in my son's room but you can easily adjust the colors and words and put one in your master bedroom or living room!
