RSU Activity

A few weeks ago I shared my DIY Vintage Pennants and now you can see them in action!  I created them to go along with a University theme for a women's activity for my church.  The decorations were on the dessert table as you can see (pre-dessert placement).

I was so happy with how everything turned out.  I also created hanging banners for each of the 5 classes

And because I physically CANNOT help myself, I took it a step further by borrowing graduation gowns for a few of us to wear during the activity!  We loved this activity and we got a great response from it because we had a wide variety of mini-classes everyone could learn something from.

Relief Society Birthday Celebration Activity

Every year for our church we celebrate the Relief Society's birthday We wanted to decorations to have a vintage feel, and our theme was "Opening New Doors".

Our tables had center pieces made from vintage and eclectic pieces that we all just brought from our home and then mixed and matched on the tables on top of burlap squares.

At each place setting we had a pillow box with a key inside for our hand outs.  There was also a photo of cute old doors, and each door had a match.  The sisters had to find their match and ask the "get to know you" questions on the back.
I voluntereed to teach one of the 2 classes we had that night, called "Unlocking Your Creativity". (Get it, UNLOCK....doors...get it?!) I taught some basics of hand lettering and it was so fun and totally nerve wracking up amazing too!

These adorable signs were at every table.  They included a picture, name & information about important women throughout Relief Society years.  Trisha from Trisha Shelley Photography designed them and they were perfect to celebrate the Relief Society and cute enough to go with the decorations. She had that great idea of sharing them online so that everyone else can use them too!
Isn't she the best?! Go HERE to download them all. We printed ours as 8x10s.

Super Saturday Decor

In my church I'm on the Relief Society Meeting Committee & this year I was put in charge of a "sub-committee" to plan decor & food for Super Saturday.  I have to thank the other 2 ladies who were a big help in pulling this together to make this day feel more special than just another activity.

The centerpieces for our eating tables had tissue paper pom-poms with a print correlating to each of our spiritual classes.

Our food table was full of delicious brunch items brought by sisters.  Centered between the two was my chalkboard writing of the scripture that served as our theme.

 tassel tutorial here.

More tissue pom-poms on either side of the table as well as treasure chests with hearts coming out....get it?

I think it turned out very nicely & I'm so glad I succeeded in my first Super Saturday planning experience!

Relief Society Proclamation

After a planning meeting one night, I wanted a simple printable decoration I could frame for one of our activities.  After searching online I couldn't find anything simple or pretty enough & ended making my own and thought I'd share the wealth.
Here is an 8x10 printable of the Relief Society Proclamation.
Please use only for church & personal purposes!
