Frame Re-Do

This frame was up on one of two white shelves hanging in our living room.  I had originally bought it at Target, and it was a bright royal blue.  I bought it a. because it was cheap and b. because i knew I could paint right over it.  For the white coat, I had used Martha Stewart semi-gloss Wedding Cake paint.
It looked great in our last place on that shelf, because the wall behind it was a dark beige, but in our new place it's white.  It looked kind of funny because they weren't the same white...does that make sense?

Anyway- I knew it needed to change, but I still liked the white.  So here's what I did:

I took my frame and taped off the front part, so only the sides and the little front lip was showing.

Then I painted it silver.  (I'd would've used spray paint, but didn't have any on hand.)
While painting it silver, curse the day you ever chose not to buy Martha Stewart paint because another brand was cheaper, because you now are using a million coats of this terrible paint.

Finally finish almost 24 hours later...
and you have this!

I am happy with the results, but not so much with the process!  I love Martha Stewart paint and will never cheat on her again...
